Well, we took the plunge and we updated to V3. At first glance there doesn’t seem to be much real difference, it has a cleaner looking interface on the dashboard and the auto save feature seems to be behaving for now anyways. As a test, I’ve extended the viewing pane to 20 lines, it might be that or something completely different. Ah! as I was typing the automatic save kicked in and the screen didn’t jump about all over the place.
So here’s the tip today blog users.
Go into Tools –> writing –> change the top number from 10 to 20 –> hit save, it’ll make your post writing a much nicer experience.
I noticed today as I was checking on the blog, some of the older posts seem to have been “clobbered” with something, and instead of the whole post being there, there was only a few lines, and then these tags [....] I expected to see the whole post so I clicked on edit, lo and behold the rest of the post had disappeared into the ether! so rather than having a broken post, I have deleted them. Please accept my apologies if you got here from a search engine and got to a 404 page, but that will be the reason why.
I’m not sure what caused it, could have been a plug in, could have been some other useless program I was testing out. (No I’m not going to say what it was, except, this guys going down in my estimation every day!) I’ll post more when I’ve calmed down………
