I thought I’d add a little to this as I’ve just spent two days messing around with something that very nearly killed off one of my blogs. Granted this was not made as a wordpress plug-in, but saying as the guy had got it work on his blog, I thought, can’t be that hard to get it to work on mine. Wrong, totally wrong.! and I know what I’m doing. Because of it though and what it has done to my site, I now have a little yellow error triangle on the bottom of the web page / blog that I really can’t get rid of.
Other plugins have decided to die, they were fine before I installed this new program and I am furious that people put stuff onto the market that is just not working. Don’t tell me it’s in Beta, don’t tell me I got a great price because it’s got a few bugs! blinking well make sure anything you sell me is top notch and works, and more importantly that if I decided to use it, it WILL make me money, not waste valuable amounts of my time trying to get your stupid software to work. You going to recompense me for those lost hours, NO, I thought not.
So guys and gals, the message is, don’t just be careful adding a new post, be doubly careful when you add new software to your site too. And if it won’t work, don’t spend countless hours trying to make it so.
